Learners who take pretest lessons pass 40% more oftenNot another lesson. Test preparation.
A pretest is different from a normal driving lesson. You already know how to drive. This is about knowing your test centre, the routes the tester uses, and the specific faults that catch people out.
Route familiarity
We drive the actual roads the tester will send you on. Roundabouts, junctions, dual carriageways. You will recognise them on test day.
Test technique
Exaggerated mirror checks, proper observation at junctions, positioning that the tester wants to see. Small habits that make the difference.
Mock test
We run a full mock test under real conditions. You get a fault sheet at the end so you know exactly where to tighten up.
Pick your centre. Learn its routes.
Every Dublin test centre has different routes, different trouble spots, different pass rates. Select yours below.
What the tester is actually marking
Your tester marks faults in nine categories. Grade 1 is minor, Grade 2 is a problem, Grade 3 is a fail. Know what they are watching.
Progress
Driving too slowly or hesitating when it is safe to go. Keep up with traffic flow.
Observation
Not checking properly at junctions. Look both ways and make sure the tester sees you looking.
Position
Lane discipline on roundabouts and dual carriageways. Stay in the correct lane.
Speed
Matching speed to road conditions. Not just the limit, but what is safe right now.
Signals
Indicating in good time. Cancelling signals after the turn. Clear communication with other drivers.
React
Response to road and traffic conditions. Anticipating what is about to happen.
Mirrors
Checking mirrors before every speed change, direction change, and signal. Make it obvious.
Steering
Smooth wheel control. No crossing hands on tight turns. Consistent grip throughout.
Ancillary Controls
Wipers, lights, demisters, handbrake. Know where everything is without looking down.
Bring everything. Forget nothing.
People get turned away on test day for missing documents. Do not let that happen to you.
Simple pricing. No surprises.
Pretest FAQ
Most learners book one or two. If you have done your EDT and feel confident, a single session to learn the routes is enough. If you need more work on test technique, book two.

The week before your test. You want the routes fresh in your head. Book too early and you will forget the detail by test day.
Normal lessons teach you to drive. Pretest lessons prepare you for the test itself. We focus on the routes the tester uses, the faults they mark, and the technique they want to see. You should only book pretest when you can already drive confidently.
